2025Nov Chai LitesDear Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, it is with great sadness we report to you the sudden passing of our friend and congregational leader, Joseph Rodriguez. Joseph had just resumed the role of temple President at the beginning of May and did a great deal of work in just the last few months on the future of Temple Beth Shalom. Joseph was also an important part of leadership for the Brotherhood/Sisterhood and planned a number of enjoyable and meaningful events to give additional life to that group. His humor and camaraderie will be dearly missed.

Learn about Jewish resistance and survival.
Gather at the table with friends, songs, a Chanukah play and lots of food to eat.
Bring your menorah for the candle lighting. We will provide the candles.
Dinner is followed by a play written by
our resident author, Beverly Lerner.
Friday evening, December 27th at 6:00 pm
Dinner will be catered by Love Bird Almost Famous
Fried or Grilled Chicken, Vegetables, Potato Latkes, Drinks and Dessert.
Hanukah Gelt and Dreidels included!
Members $12.00. Non-Members and Guests $15.00.
No cost for children five and under.

Somehow through waiting out a hurricane, preparing for the High Holidays, and carrying on all of our usual synagogue business, our Editor and team managed to prepare a lovely issue of the Chai Lites for you! There are lovely updates and valuable information about our High Holiday schedule of services. We look forward to seeing you this week for Rosh Hashanah and later this month for Yom Kippur. This is an important time for us to come together with all that is happening in the country and in the world, so many thanks to all whom contributed to these activities and this newsletter.
