L’Shana Tovah, Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends!  Somehow through waiting out a hurricane, preparing for the High Holidays, and carrying on all of our usual synagogue business, our Editor and team managed to prepare a lovely issue of the Chai Lites for you!  There are lovely updates and valuable information about our High Holiday schedule of services.  We look forward to seeing you this week for Rosh Hashanah and later this month for Yom Kippur.  This is an important time for us to come together with all that is happening in the country and in the world, so many thanks to all whom contributed to these activities and this newsletter.

2] 2pm-4pm Movie Room – The Frisco Kid [Rabbi Avram Belinsky]

Bring your popcorn, drink and your laughter.

3] 4pm-6pm Pool or hot tub [Subject to parts and weather]

Relax in cardroom or Dive into Pool [Finish your lunch and snacks]

Bring all waste to kitchen for outside cans!  Clips on outside cans.

Hello Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends, your July 2024 Chai Lites issue is ready in time for you to celebrate Summer, a new month, our country’s birth, and the return of our President and Editor from a distant land!  Thanks to all of you for getting your pieces in so quickly and Mazel Tov to Lorraine for getting it done on the road!  It looks fabulous!  It is Summer, but still there is a lot going on.  We look forward to seeing you.

Temple Beth Shalom Brotherhood/Sisterhood went to the baseball game on Thursday, September 7th, 2023. It was the Lakeland Flying Tigers vs Tampa NY. The Flying Tigers won 8-6. It was a lot of fun.

GOLF OUTING & TOURNAMENT 10/23/22

Golfers need to register.

DATE: Sunday, October 23, 2022 shotgun start [rain date October 30th]

LOCATION: Hampton’s Golf Course, 900 Southhampton Blvd., Auburndale, Fla 33823

LAYOUT: Par 61 executive course, 11 par 3’s, 7 par 4’s, yardage from front tees 2,374, from back tees 3,488.

FORMAT: Two-person teams, non-handicapped, best ball, low team score wins.

Men to age 75 will use the White tees.

Men over 75 will use the Gold tees.

Women to age 75 will use the Gold tees.

Women over 75 will use the Red tees.

There will be closest to the hole competions, as well as a long drive contest. All prizes will be awarded at the luncheon.

Registration fee $60 per person will include greens fee, golf cart, and lunch and non-alcoholic beverage at Angies Restaurant immediately following the tournament.

Hole sponsorships are $50. You may sponsor a hole personally, through your company, or a company you have solicited.

Should you just wish to attend the lucheon, the cost would be $25. Meatloaf or Rosemary Chicken.

All checks for the tournament itself, or to sponsor a hole, should be made out to TBS Brotherhood, and either given personally to Herb Leshay, Jeff Golblatt, or Joseph Rodriguez, or mailed to:
