Dear Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, we received the sad news today that our cherished member and friend, Jerry Heyman, after a long illness passed into eternity last night.  His loving kindness endured through all.  We remember Jerry as a dedicated longtime member of Temple Beth Shalom, often as a participant on our Board and a cheerful presence at many of our services and activities.  He was an important part of us through our synagogue’s busiest years and contributed much with his gentle intelligence and positive attitude.  His smile and encouragement will be dearly missed.  

Good afternoon Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, we appreciate Joseph Rodriguez’ daughter, Lauren Hisey, for sharing Joseph’s memorial page with us to view.  It’s lovely to see Joseph’s photo as we remember him, and to read about all of his accomplishments and organizations to which he contributed, including ours.  These and his family are his legacy.  May his memory continue to be as a blessing.

Hello Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, your Board and Rabbi Guyster are working hard on preparing meaningful Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services for you.  We are all in need of a volunteer to coordinate the Break Fast on Yom Kippur on October 2.  We can have a Break Fast with Yom Kippur-attending members and guests each bringing a dish, and the coordinator can be in contact with them to ensure that we have a good variety of items with which to celebrate.  If you would assist Temple Beth Shalom with this please contact us and let us know.

Hello Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, we have the obituary of Stanley Kaplan, our founding member and past president, who recently passed.  There is lovely information about his accomplishments and family.  There is a date for a Celebration of Life in October you will want to see, and some wonderful photos.

Dear Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, we received these words today from our longtime and founding member Barbara Brooks: Our dear friend, Stan Kaplan, passed away last Friday after a long illness.  Stan and his wife, Karen, helped establish our temple.  Stan was our first president.  He and Karen worked tirelessly for many, many years making our temple a success.  We are grateful to Stan and the Kaplan family for all they did to build our congregation and create a lasting community.  His memory will be a blessing.
