Hello Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends, next time we meet is an especially joyous occasion! We will begin at 9:00 in the morning on Saturday, December 6 with Torah Study, which we have been enjoying. Following that and a brief break, at 10:15 am we are delighted to share in the naming of the Feldman family’s new infant daughter, granddaughter, and niece. We hope you will join Ethan and Ventura with their family in welcoming Bexleigh into our Jewish community. Hello Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends, it went so well we are doing it again! Torah Study in October was so well-attended the library was packed, so we are moving into our larger meeting area. Please come on Saturday, November 8 at 9:15 am to talk, listen, and learn with Rabbi Guyster. Following a short break we will have a Shabbat morning service at 10:30 am. Dear Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends, we have many thanks for the Brotherhood/Sisterhood for quickly organizing a group to decorate our Sukkah, and now we invite you to enjoy it with them, the congregation, and our larger community in a brief member-led Sukkot service on Friday, October 10 at 6:30 pm. Weather permitting, please join us in the Sukkah to make blessings and shake the lulav and etrog. The group is headed to Outback Steakhouse for dinner after the service if you would like to join that as well.
Hello Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends, it was such a wonderful time with you on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur! We have a terrific community because of you. We had such a good talk on Yom Kippur that we asked the participants if they’d like a format like that the next time we meet. After polling the group and checking with Rabbi Guyster on his schedule, we determined that our next best opportunity will be Saturday, October 25 — so we will cancel the service on Friday night the 24th and meet Saturday morning, October 25 at 9:30 am for a Shabbat service and Torah Study we’re sure will be friendly, interactive, and illuminating as was our meeting this week. We will have any updates as the date approaches.
G’mar Chatimah Tovah Temple Beth Shalom Members and Friends! The High Holidays continue with this week’s Kol Nidre/Erev Yom Kippur service this Wednesday, October 1 at 7:00 pm. The Yom Kippur Morning Service follows at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 2. We return on Thursday afternoon for the Yom Kippur Afternoon Service at 4:00 pm, followed by Yiskor and Neilah.
