Dear Temple Beth Shalom Congregation, we deeply grieved the loss of Meryl Crews from our synagogue when serious illness came to her in early 2025, and we sorrowfully report to you now that she will be laid to rest this week in Winter Haven. Meryl was an integral part of Temple Beth Shalom in countless ways: she was a longtime member and generous with her time, resources, and talent. She taught in and led our Religious School and made many of the festivals fun and successful. She undertook the many tasks she fulfilled for us with enthusiasm and good humor, She served on our Board for years in many roles including Trustee and Treasurer, and was an excellent congregational President. She sang in our choir and will be remembered as our Cantorial Soloist for many years. Meryl blessed our services with beauty and depth as our singer. We all saw over and over again how devoted Meryl was to her family, and we are grateful to her husband Jimmy, daughters Melanie and Emily, and her grandchildren for participating in so many events with us and sharing her with us all these years. Our hearts are with the Crews family and we hope to continue to remember Meryl with them.

Gathering begins at 10:00 am, Funeral Service at 11:00 am
Gravesite Service immediately following at 12:15 pm at Rolling Hills Cemetery at 4810 Tilden Road in Winter Haven, 33881.
After the graveside service, the Crews family will be accepting visitors to pay their respects and offer chesed/kindness during the Shiva period at their home:
